Caught the end of the report on GBFM and Raf said .....Kenna had a decent game, especially in the first half and looked dangerous going forward.....Is the view really that bad from the press box?

Kenna's first touch was superb but he was caught for pace. In fairness, United had lots of chances and were very unlucky not to get on the scoresheet.

    i texted Paddyfield.

I texted Paddyfield during the game asking what the bets were on Derry equally our worst ever defeat from them 9-0.That was a real possibility after 30 mins, couldnt believe we were so bad, foley and fenn are NOT premier league standard, they are barely first division standard. They were walking through us in midfield,Kenna was caught out for 2 of the goals and the less said about the first 2 goals the better, poor stuff. We deserved a goal i thought but lets try move on from this to a huge 6 pointer next Friday.

Caught for pace against Leeds, caught for space against Bray, caught for pace against Derry, no surprise really. Three of the goals came from the left wing. Jeff did ok second half, passing was good. Read the game well. Problem is that the central defenders are static and there is no one to intercept when JK is beaten.

    How can you say that?

How can you say that foley was the only player there???Jay played well i thought, offered some sort of threat anyway. As i said they walked through in midefield, especially through centre midfield, never seen a team have it so easy there, especailly in the first half.I know murphy was there too but its primarily Foleys job to stop attacks coming through there as the holding midfielder.Fenn did nothing, has no pace to be winger but i realise hes not a winger anyway.A frustrating night all round.

jay alright - a bit of a threat

    murph missing along with fenn

foley ran around hard but passed so badly

vinny headless chicken - for all the work he does

awful 20 mins inthe first half

Thought Jeff was badly beaten for pace more than once, I'd be happier to see Fenn at centre back with Fitzgearld and Alan Keane or Seamus Coneely at left back... Lester should be moved into centre mid as he can pass the ball and break things up with Ciarán Foley, even if Lester doesn't have the engine for 90mins, we'll have Murphy or Russell for the last 30mins....
Fenn might do better at the back as he's quite calm and assured on the ball but doesn't have the toughness for midfield.

anyone agree with me or am i imagining things???

Your imagining things, Lester is the worst center-mid we've had in there since we came back up, thinking off him and Foley in there gives me nightmares especially with Murphs and Russell on the BENCH

Fenn has been best at CB im, in the games he's played there
There's the right way, the wrong way.... and the Max Power way!! :-D

According to the stats page on the club website we won the Derry match, if only it was true. Maybe we will beat them in the League Cup next Monday night.
