Must be hard being a Franchise FC fan, having to remember what they're called every year

I was very tempted to move this to Rubbish , but I decided to just move it to where it belongs, in the Dublin City forum.

Ringo, eh? I presume you're responsible for the appalling drumming at Whitehall.

Just kidding. I know some people have the proverbial issues with the Robbies, but they way I look at it, they're my local team, they're making a genuine effort to promote the club and the league, and it would be churlish to deny them my support. Looking forward to the Limerick game, and will probably trot along to the Portmarnock match too, if someone tells me where the AUL Complex is.

UCD taking the **** out of DCFC is a
    a) Childish, your supposed to be educated.
    b) Coinciding where each is in their respective leagues is a rich
    c) DCFC is building up a good sized fan base.
    d) Most first division teams struggle to get fans. Even former Premier teams see their support drop off when they go down to the first.
    e) Judging that the fan base at UCD for home games is no existent at the moment, when they go down it will disappear completely.

The name change has always been a source of amusement to fans from other clubs, but it won't be changing again. The fans are proud of their roots at Home Farm & as a schoolboy club it has a proud past. Even with the crowds at top premiership games are hardly a great advertisement for the Eircom league. We need to encourage more fans out to support matches. Every premiership fan should adopt a team in the first division & try and support the division. My uncles a bohs fan & my father in law a pat’s fan; they come to DCFC games and support them. We need to work together for the survival of the league. Where would young players cut their teeth, if there wasn’t a first division?

UCD taking the pi$$ out of Dublin City is

A bit of fun
Not very serious
A send-up of how every other team in the country does it to UCD
A sendup of UCD itself.
Average attendance of 910 at our first few games
Finally getting a small group to away games regularly.
Oh my God, someone made fun of you. Don't cry.
