Thumbs up Kenna gets U-21 call-up

From the UCD website - called up to the Irish U-21 squad for a game against NI tomorrow. Only 18 in the squad, so a good chance of being our first U-21 international in three years. Very well deserved - been a revelation ever since ousting McAuley from the team...

Good to see and well deserved. Hopefully he'll get a game.

Congratulations to Conor. Good honour for the club. Never expected this.

It's a pity Dicker and Quigely have slipped out of the U-19s.

That's due to the passage of time. The Under 19 manager ( ex Monaghan United ) Sean Mc Caffrey does give the domestic based players a fair crack of the whip.

    congrats to conar. well deserved.

It's just a pity he isn't three or four inches taller. If he was he would be the best defender in the league.
Where you start is not as important as where you finish!!!!

I'm not sure about that - I don't think I've ever seen him miss a header. I suspect he has a go-go-gadget neck of some sort. He's been really good since joining us, and really deserves this callup. Good luck Connor.

He received ankle ligament damage during training with the U-21s. Out tonight. Just when we had everyone fit.

Is that as bad as it sounds?

Depends on how bad the damage is ? and how good treatment he gets.

I did the ligaments in my ankle over a month ago and its still not right

I'd imagine our players get the best treatment in the league. Getting anything yourself for it Roo?

Spoke to him at the game tonight: He is going back to see the physio on Monday.

Since that performance in the second half against Pats the guy has been a rock. Well deserved & I hope he's in the shakeup next time round aswell.
