Be unfortunate if some games called off that are expecting big crowds. You want to build off the decent start to the season in terms of media exposure & having big games, keeps the momentum going.
I know it's a bit early but can any Sligo folk offer an opinion if the weather might affect tomorrow's game?
Turners cross was deemed unplayable by a local MLS ref at 13.00. Cork city are disputing the ref's decision & have called for a 2nd opinion so hence the 4pm inspection. Its is a joke if game is called off at 4pm because fans will have left Galway before 4pm.
A decision should have been made at 1pm as either the pitch is playable or its not end of story.
