Same scenario here in Derry, and probably at other clubs too.
    Cork have it spot on.

Regarding Limerick's license for this season, if Markets Field is not ready, is it back to Thomond?
And are there any 'football debts' left over from last season?

That would have been the plan to go to Thomond but whether that is an option now I don't know.

I have no idea if there is debts tbh.

It's probably too late for this season, but we need clubs to come together and put rivalries aside and start driving this League to where it should be.It should be a think tank, where somebody like Garrett Kelleher or Pat O'Sullivan starts banging heads together and pushes the Fai to give a sh1t !Whatever happened to the meeting where Mr.Kelleher asked for more financial support from the Irish Sports Council ? Surprise surprise, the media barely mentions it !

It appears to me that Pat O'Sullivan is banging enough heads together as it is.

It may not be the best idea asking multi-millionaires to demand scarce tax-payers money for their businesses.

God bless the lumpen Irish belief that personal profiteering is a skill that can be transferred to any form of administration.
A leading authority on League of Ireland football since 2003. You're probably wrong.

Limerick is a big soccer town when it comes to junior soccer but the junior teams and limerick fc dont seem to work together for the better of soccer in limerick and the midwest.its a natural progression for players to go from junior to loi and maybe cross channel if they are good enough but its often happened that players go the opposite direction with regards to limerick.limerick havent really had great support since they left the markets field years ago.i have been going to limerick matches since the rathbane days of billy hamilton and co and all you ever had was a few hundred geniune supporters.guys in limerick follow premier league soccer and wont give the loi a chance.how can any team survive if it isnt given a chance.it would be a disgrace if the club does go to the wall.

Jeez, some people just don't get it ! Where did I actually suggest money should be thrown at the problem ? If you knew me,you'd know that I rarely have time for big business, but people with a few ideas is what's needed in our League here.Anyway, that's my last time replying here !

Have a read of the filed accounts for St. Pats, read the notes to the accounts and then read between the lines. Look at the ownership of St. Pat's, look a the security given to the banks, and the reason it was given, look at the legal status of the companies that own St. Pat's, look at the financial status of the group companies, every blade of grass in the place is mortgaged............. All there in the public domain. Just log onto www.cro.ie

Look at Limerick. Recorded losses of c. €405k in 2013.

    Now, start joining the dots.

Limerick announced the signing of Ian Turner today so it would seem the title of this thread is greatly exaggerated thankfully.

Because I don't think Barry and the club finished on the best of terms. A little bitter and immature to pass comments like that if you ask me. Was a great servant in goals for us, club and him have gone their seperate ways. Don't see why it couldn't be left at that.

Don't see anything wrong with that comment.

It would be a good move for him.

Probably be a good move for us too the way things panned out

Shane had an ordinary season for us last season. I don't see him getting much game-time in Cork if he does leave!
