Wes Hoolahan should've made his Premiership debut 6/7 years ago
Better late than ever. Always a class act
Much point in having an ex-LOI players in the Premiership thread, or is it all covered in Ireland forum?
Connor Sammon on for Wigan v Norwich now
Stephen Ward's scored for Wolves:
Wes Hoolahan's gone and done it for Norwich.Michel Salgado hacks Matt Jarvis down in the box for a definite penalty - but Paul Robinson pulls off a fine stop to push Kevin Doyle's penalty away from goal. From that save, however, the ball is returned into the area with interest and Stephen Ward latches on to a half clearance with a slap volley into the corner. Advantage Wolves.
This afternoon is shaping up to have it all - we now have a keeper gaff to add to the melting pot. Steve Morison gets clear down the Wigan left but his cross looks to have been claimed by Latics keeper Ali Al Habsi, only for the ball to slip out of his hands, allowing Wes Hoolahan to slam home.

The Leinster Senior League needs a strong Bohemians
Noel Hunt grabbed Readings opener today.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

Gary Dicker effectively ensured Brighton won against Portsmouth.
Kevin Doyle missed a penalty only for Stephen Ward to knock in the rebound. LOI double team....
"If you don't work harder I'll pull you off at halftime,"
“Crikey, at Manchester City all we get is an orange and a cup of tea,"
It was a great volley by Ward.
Shane Long equalises against Manchester Utd.
Brighton forum raving about him afterwards, though against that saying that he was poor to average in the first game. But it'll take a bit of time for him to step up to the new level I'm sure. Two ex-Students in the Premier next season?
Edit - my favourite quote -
Go on Gaz! And in Ireland's weakest position too...Basically Gary Dicker is one the classiest and most intelligent players to have ever worn the stripes. He has had, by his standards, an average start to the season but I knew that he is so good it will just be a case of getting upto speed with Championship football especially as he has not played at this level before.
