Tickets for Italy sold in Limerick on Tuesday

The FAI put a limited number of tickets on general sale Tuesday night to fans attending the South Africa game. Montenegro tickets were not included.

Personally I thought it was a good idea but it provoked a bit of debate. A friend was very upset that Montenegro was not included as he will be trying to offload Montenegro tickets.

There were large queues before and after the game. I only heard about it on the radio just as I arrived at TP.

AFAIK the tickets were all Davin Stand.

Surely it would have been a better idea to have them on sale inside the ground or only to allow those holding a match ticket for the night to buy tickets. It might have encouraged more to go to the match.

A mate of mine who was at the match with me queued for about 20 minutes and bought 6 for the Upper Davin. He only wanted 2 but bought the extras when he saw loads of the local skangers who openly admitted they couldn't be bothered going to the game snapping up 6 a piece. If they couldnt be bothered going to a game in their back garden, then they are hardly going to venture to Dublin, so you have to assume they bought the tickets with the intention of touting them.
Honest! I am not a secret Tim nor a closet Sham - I really am a Seagull.

    Agree re the match ticket.

The ticket office is outside the ground and given the rabbit warren inside Thomond Park you would need numerous sales points.

I hope, going by this that there will be a few tickets for Italy game then - I'm getting pestered galore up here by all the glory hunters looking tickets - the sort that never even know when games are coming up, are just EPL/SPL obsessed & because its a 'glamour' game & Eire are going well it's seems to be the new attraction in town for some.

I'd be amazed if this game does not sellout.

It'll sell well but not sell out. A lot feel that Ireland have little to play for. Now, had Bulgaria got a draw against Italy, it'd easily be a sell-out.
