was in salzburg last summer at euro2008. lovely city and excellent infrastructure. bohs will love it, especially for a few days. excellent irish pub along the river but never saw an irish person behind the bar

Its not the worst draw for Bohs. Looking at the team there are a few Bundesliga rejects playing for them so they would be a fairly ordinary outfit apart from Janko.

It's a tough draw for the stage they're at. Also, Salzburg have Red Bull's millions behind them.

Here's their European record. Not great by any means, but they're very efficient against the lower echelons.

I see what you mean but looking at their squad they seem to make a lot of changes to their team each season and although they do have Red Bull's millions behind them the only players they do attract are form the Czech and Slovak leagues and a few players from the lower placed German Bundesliga.

Kazakhstan being in UEFA is a joke. Extra votes for UEFA at the FIFA table seems to be the primary reason, along with the Kazakhs getting the hump with the Asians.
