I feel a bit sorry for Distillery - they have a trip to either Sweden, Poland, Latvia, Georgia or Iceland to look forward to

    It will be Kazakhstan. watch.

Domestic draws haven't gone our way this year either, got Cork early, and we had a 1 in 3 chance of getting Bohs in the semi's and guess what...

The 80 teams involved in the round, to be played on 16 and 23 July, will be divided into eight groups of ten, with each containing five seeded and five unseeded teams, for the draw, which will follow the same procedure as the first qualifying round.
No sign of these groupings yet?

Meanwhile, Linfield have a 20% chance of Drawing a Danish team called Randers FC.

I bet that would throw a few of the less literate types in The Village, who would turn up expecting to see the Scottish Champions.....

That Kazakh side is only 300km from the capital Astana. It's the least worst Kazakh option (he says with a straight face).

Opportunity exists to go via the Moscow-Vladivostok train line and the cross down into Kazakhstan.

If you're drawn away first you'd want to start packing

if anyone is looking for a cheap flight, try air Baltic via Riga.

How long would that train journey take?

Cheers for the Air Baltic details also.

    Jeebus,

    Depends where you get on.

If you do it, get training on your liver. I'd recommend pairing stale brown bread with neat vodka starting about 10am, as that is the diet on board.

I hate travelling around Europe so much, so damn confusing with all these train lines. One train station they speak Russian, the next they speak bloody German or something.

You also get a flight from London with a stop in Yekaterinaburg, I think (or that could be Almaty). Kazakhstan's a place I'd love to visit. Can understand why Sligo mightn't be too pushed about it though!

Ash - is that my photo? Do you not remember the terms and commissions we applied to its usage at the time?!
