Doubt you would i tried when the game was only out and could'nt get anyone, been out 8 months now!
I see Gamestop have finally dropped the prices of most Pre-Owned games, saw FIFA today for €30, might invest.....again. Had it on release but could'nt get online going for some reason just was'nt able to click on anything once i entered a game so i sold it back straight away, no interest in playing computer anymore when theres online.

Just thinking wonder would it work now?!. Although i'm sure at the time i had ''NAT 2'' which was meant to sort it

Don't fear my friend, i was having the same problem as you but today i finally figured out my ROUTER settings and am now addicted to beating the American's online, haha

If you decide to buy the game, send me a message and i have an easy step by step guide to sort out your Internet Connections so you dont get cut off.

Ya but i loaned it to my cousin, the online got boring fairly quick tbh, and i was hammering everyone(most money/kills in virtually every game) aswell so was'nt like i was crap.

But the thing is i'm 99% certain i had the router right, i went through learning about ''NAT'' types and ''DMZ'' back then and it did'nt make a differance so i tried another copy thinking it may of been the disc and the same problem was there, so then i sold it, i had it on ''NAT 2'' but it did'nt change anything(was on NAT 3 when i first got online, Eircom routers need to be manually set), however that was 8 mths ago(and this was within the first 3/4 days of release) so maybe there was an update to fix this as a lot of people had the problem aswell, also on ''NAT 1'' now so maybe that might change things.

I'd rather try a copy before buying another because if it did'nt work again i'd just have boght and sold it twice losing about €50 in the process!!, not sure where i could get a loan only know one person with one and my main problem is not having a car to get them there game back quick.

If i get it i'll PM ya, got sick of thrasing ppl at PES 08 so sold that a few weeks ago, was full of bugs too hopefully the next one will get the series back to where it was 2 years ago

Gilberto, you neet to set up your static nat by accessing your router settings on your PC, this is how you do it


Type your ip address into the search bar at the top of your page on IE or Firefox(the one you would type foot.ie into)

It should bring up your router settings from there you hit 'Custom Services', then you should see a button that says 'Static NAT', hit that and there should be a box, hit it and you should see your PS3 IP Address, you choose it and hit 'Next'.

My NAT on my PS3 is NAT 3 but it still works, i couldnt play any EA games online til' i set up the static nat..

If you read through my post again you'll see i have an understanding off all that but making the change made no differance to this game, still would'nt work

When the game initally would'nt work i started to enquire the net and found out all about NAT types and DMZ, spent a couple of hours at it and got it to ''NAT 2'' down from the dreaded ''NAT 3''
This made absolutly no differance, when i went into the online lobbies it was the exact same( i'd get onto the screen where you pick your team and it would be like it frooze with my fav' team on both sides of the screen and unable to move) never even saw an opponent changing there team so i don't even think it was connecting although names were coming up on the screen like there was.
With that i traded the game in, and i've never had any problem's playing any other games, i was even able to play ''Fight Night R:3'' and ''MOH Airbourne'' with the same settings.

As i said though this was within the first 3/4 days of release so maybe something will have changed by now, but i had a ''NAT 2'' then and it still made no differance!!

just played Juan_Pablo, Rovers v Galway.

1-1 after 90mins, i took the lead on 115mins & he equalised on 120mins, then Galway won on penalties

It was a lack of concentration in the heart of the Rovers defence that was my downfall

Alan Moore score goal of the game with a great shot from outside the box that just went under the bar.

Bought it again today down to €35 in Gamestop so happy enough and having no problems playing online now

Game record so far:

Played 4: First lost in ET although i was all over him all game, lost second on Peno's and won last two 1-0 with the second one been a 120mins winner

1 thing, how does this point system work, seems toi give roughly the same amount of points to each after every game, i don't get it, where's the reward for winning?

Alright Lads,

Im gonna try and set up a League on FIFA 08, will call the league Footie League 2008 so try and search for that, IF it asks you for a password, put in football just for easy remembering. if you cant find it, leave a message here and i will try and help out.
