I'd expect our average to go up by a good bit.
Going to start up the all new, all unofficial (except where the figures are official) attendances thread for this year. Bets now open on the first club's fans to take these figures as gospel proof that they're bigger than another, or the first club's fans to accuse Galway of inflating figures.

Shelsweb will have an official attendances thread (directly from the stiles) on a sticky in the Shels Talk section of the message board Stu if you want to just take the figures from there
I'll be posting the Shels official attendances - but really, the eL/FAI should be issuing/publicising the figures officially reported to them by each club every weekend.
That would solve all arguments and give us a realtime picture of actual attendances.
i know im probably just biting on the wind up bait here but i have to say it.attendances are annouced midway through the second half over the P.A as offical figures.and besides, its not like anyone connected with galway utd has ever mishandled figures before in their past jobs.
Yep, and none of us have eyes either...
Just to emphasise, I've no problem with collecting the info from official club sources (published, no announced)
I know several clubs have the crowds on their websites. As Fintan said it should be an FAI thing

Most of those average's are b******t
I take your concerns on board Heggy but I think that the figure given for Galway is more or less on the money.
But Jesus did we not all have this arguement all season long last year, and the year before if i'm not mistaken.
I wonder why clubs can't release official attendance figures in any case, unless they have something to hide? I'm not saying anything, but it would make sense to release them.
Hopefully GUFC will see a good increase this year. It won't happen so much in the bigger games, IMO. What I would like to see is greater retention of fairweathers from the bigger matches.
Obvioulsy this is directly tied in with GUFC playing good football and picking some wins at home. Doing so earlier in the season should create greater hope of a good season all round.
I think Harps' attendances on average will increase significanylt this season despite the probability of being relegated.
Does anyone know what FIFA's or teh FAI's rules are on keeping attendances and getting accurate attendances? Do the FAI have to do it, do the clubs have to do it, does it have to be done at all? What section of the FAI deals with it?

Drogs attendances cannot exceed 2000 due to the safety regulations
Hunky Dorys Park - could be worse, we could be going to Old Trafford every other week
The bohs game so not only will we be accuarately able to confirm attendances we will also know the colour of your underwear.
