Why are you paying less VAT on gate?!

Clubs in the north always had to pay VAT on the gate unlike the 26 counties who don't pay any, but the government have dropped it to 15% a few days ago.

I know its a lie, I seen the attendance against Harps with my own eyes. Unless he forgot about that one.

harps & linfield had to be up there, but overall i doubt he is far wrong.

only for one season then rumoured to be going up to at least 18.5%
so overall not that good

Good news is next year Derry only have to pay 15% of the gate instead of the 17.5% since 1985.

Bad news is that that VAT rate will go back-up again shortly to even higher than 17.5%....

We know all about Derry's figures.

In fairness, other European countries, especially at lower levels, get poor crowds. Look at the Estonian league, for example.

Derry's attendance against Harps was around that figure and I would not be surprised if it was bigger. It was easily as big as the crowd that we had against Cork for the league decided two years ago.

In fact, the crowd was so big, KO was delayed due to crowd congestion.
