    Paul McGee Sacked

Im sure everybody knows at this stage but its what most people on here have wanted for a while now, so what do people think? Is it the right decision and who do you think will be the new manager? After losing Kevin Waters are more players likely to follow McGee and Waters out fo Limerick37 FC and if so who do you think will leave. In my opinion its been a bad week for Limerick37 on a PR side of things. Is the future bright or are things downhill from now on? We all need to make a big effort for next season in order to encourage and attract more fans down to Jackman Park. For a city of Limericks size and the amount of interest in soccer Limerick37 has the potential to be a big success but only if crowds + finances improve for next season.

Is this all that we have? Anyone with a heartbeat could see the McGee saga was going to end sooner rather than later and all we get is good old Mike. Sound bloke, did'nt work last time and dont mention Waterford The club made a good decision to pick someone from outside (ya, I know he was a muppet)to try to change the fortunes so why now go back. Noel had success the first time and look how his 2nd stint ended. Do you really think it will be different this time. I hope he brings TREV with him

Personally, I'm happy enough with Kerley in charge for the time being. He got us to the play-offs in 2003. I know we finished bottom in 2004, but that was hardly his fault. He had no money to build a squad, so most of the better players were snapped up by other clubs with more money to spend. For those who were actually at a few games that season, think of the number of times Kerley had to play himself, or play Fyffe outfield! The squad was the smallest in the league -- only 14 or 15 or something like that.
Given the budgetary constraints that the club is working under (i.e. income is not huge), it's not surprising that the net fell so close to home when fishing for a new manager.
So I have no problem with giving Kerley a chance.

As for Ski? I think someone said something about him not being fit to manage adults. Given his regular use of insults and bullying as methods to try to motivate his players, I'd keep him well away from any underage team. Some junior players may tolerate that sort of abuse, but senior players shouldn't be expected to and it would probably be damaging to kids.
    Fight the good fight!

Paul McGee likes applying for jobs...wouldn't surprise me if he applied again under his disguise name of 'Ski' McGee

Athlone hotseat still apparently vacant, although like the FAI theres rumours
it's been offereded already, but with the mid season rumours of a Ski and Paugie
management combo I wonder are they now back in the frame?

I'd gladly finish last for a couple of seaosns if we were putting proper infrastructure in place. Proper facilities are needed and then spend money on the team.

The crowds wil lcome and the potential is there for a successful football team in the city. There is no competition as in we won't lose fans to cork and Galway. there is no point spending big money to come 4th.

You said it might be true, then you say its a fact.. I cant see him getting that much to be honest. The managers job has not been filled yet.

Aidan Ryan isnt it? He played with Limerick before and was a coach under Noel O Connor. We need a local manager, not sure if he would be the right choice though!! Can SLK set up a poll, on who people think should be the next manager.

Rumour is that Ski is on his way to Cobh to help us get rid of our long ball game
So we can play like Lim 37 in the PREMIER DIVISION next year.
    LESS OF THE BULL NOW!
