Byes for Rockmount, Bangor, Crumlin and Douglas Hall, all contenders. Especially Crumlin on their new Astro-pitch.

Possible upsets in Dublin, don't know the Cork scene that well
    Tolka v LOUGHSHINNEY
    St MOCTAS v Clover
    DRUMS v Moyle Park
    LISADELL v Greystones
    Bluebell v NEWTOWN RANGERS

Can't argue with that, a bye is always nice. Looks like we won't get a league game in until Christmas at this rate so nice to have a break in the heavy schedule!

I suppose of the Munster section Drummer the three below are the most interesting, not necessarily cos of upset's, just good exciting games on paper.

UCC AFC V Avondale United FC
Castleview United AFC V Mayfield United FC
Tramore Athletic FC V College Corinthians FC
The above is all opinion and based on personal experience. Unless stated otherwise it is not a dig at anybody, well probably none of you lot.

    Result from yesterday
    UCC 0-2 Avondale Utd

Dale went 1 up and then lost keeper Dave O'Keeffe midway through the 1st half, looked to be a twisted knee. UCC applied a lot of pressure and when they looked as if they might get a draw gave away a silly penalty late on and though Knowlesys kick was saved, the rebound was dispatched, game over.

You are right, last 16 of intermediate cup plus the last 4 of the FAI Junior cup play in Round 1 of the FAI Senior cup.

All EL sides get a bye to Round 2 of the FAI Senior Cup

Round 2 - 32 Games played this weekend

    9 in Munster
    4 in Ulster
    19 in Leinster

By my reckoning these 32 winners will become 16 in Round 4.

Dale I think get a home game v CYM Terenure

Don't know where to get the full draw.

CYM Terenure are poor, in terminal decline

St Mochtas play a good brand of attacking football on a decent pitch, but Rockmount should be too strong for them.

Skerries have just been promoted to the Top Division of the LSL after a protracted appeal/counter appeal with St james Gate. They play in a small compact ground. They are a very physical side, who are not renowned for their attractive, however they will be a tough nut to crack. I think they knocked Monaghan United out of the FAI Cup a few years ago.

As drummerboy said, a tough physical side not relmowned for attractive football. Wathc out for the long throw into the penalty area - it's been the undoing of many
