Was it Bryan Gunn? Was he the Norwich keeper at the time. They beat Sunderland 1-0 in the Milk Cup final. Not sure if there was a panalty save but there definitely wasn't one in the FA Cup final. So its either the league cup or an international.

EDIT GUNN ONLY SIGNED FOR NORWICH IN 86.

Chris Woods was the keeper then but that doesn't fit and though Sunderland missed a penalty it hit the post and was not saved. Good old wiki.

Andy Ritchie for the player who played for Man U, Brighton and Leeds. That just leaves the mysterious keeper who saved a penalty in 1985 at Wembley.

The answer to the keeper question was Kevin Blackwell who played for Plymouth between 1980 and 1986 and apparently saved a penalty at Wembley in the 1985 FA Trophy final.
