Did this not cause some problems when Mounty was manager?
With a good few unknown new players arriving this year & most assumed to be on fulltime contracts I wonder does/will this cause any friction within the squad?
I know some young players such as Hoggie may not be keen on going fulltime but I wonder how guys like Carey & O'Rourke feel? Are only UK returnees or signings from other eL clubs offered fulltime contracts?

Hopefully they'll sort out ALL the players in time with decent contracts...
well the signs coming from the club are so far very positive.
Woods on a 3 year deal
O'Callaghan on a 2 year contract
and i'm sure alot of the kids are on long term deals also..
better then continually having to renew contracts at the end of every season, or risk losing the players on a free
And letting the best player go on a free?

So how many full-timers have we now?
1. Greg
2. Jimmy Mull
3. Mick Devine
4. George O'C
5. Andrews
Reynolds?
O'Grady?
Bennett?
I suppose any of the lads doing that course with gunther during the day could be considered full time
Reynolds works for Waterford Crystal, Andrews is going back to school to do his Leaving I think and, AFAIK, Bennet is in college (CIT, I think)
If you count him, Steve O'Flynn is full-time.
btw anyone know what the difference between a full-time and part-time player at City is?
Full-timers get extra training in the Goosestep, ridiculing fans and a course in "The Art of Zen and Hoof Football", while part-timers just get to play for CCFC......Originally posted by joe

He works as a Car Salesman in Middleton AFAIK and he won be signing as a full timer
Oh no not them again
Dunno, suppose they get paid more?Originally posted by joe

I wonder unless you going have virtuallly a fulltime squad is there any point to having 4-5 fulltime footballers? The fulltimers will be training on theri own half the time anyway.....
Be interesting to see how Bohs progress this year with a properly functioning fulltime squad under Kenny. I don't think Mahon was sure what to do with fulltime players.
Last I heard O'Grady was working as a barman, I cant remember where.Originally posted by Neil
