I thought there might already be a thread on this film and I'm surprised to see there isn't.
What a truly fascinating and moving film. It's set during the holocaust and it's seen through the eyes of an 8 year old boy, who's the son of a Nazi commander at Auschwitz concentration camp.
He befriends another 8 year old boy who's in the camp and they get to know each other through the barbed wire perimiter. It's the kind of film that you'll never forget and I'd recommend to any person who enjoys thought provoking films.
Brilliant.
I haven't watched the movie yet but I hear it sticks closely to the book, and I found that a good read so I must get along to it soon.
