So close, yet so far away - still, at least we're not bottom for now, albeit heavily-asterisked!

Bad injury problems or not, that was a total stinker in Dalymount. You get what you deserve when you blow your own feet off.

Not a lot of quality at Dalyer but at we showed some bottle and fight and took advantage of some poor Derry moments. It's only going off 90 minutes but Jevon Mills looks like a very good defender.

Bohs were brilliant tonight, not always pretty but they dug in and fought for it. Have to say McDonnell and Mills were terrific and Keta when he came on. The keeper commanded his area picking up balls on the 18yd line while Dylan Connolly kept Derry busy at the other end. Akintunde came on and played a blinder working all over the place. Overall a great team performance.

Well that was most unexpected from Bohs. Rovers finally win. Shels 5 clear. Daly next for the chop? Dundalk can’t score to save their lives.

Was actually quite a good, even game in Richmond but unfortunately for us Freeman was the worst player on the pitch, and Jarvis probably the best, and both Shels goals came from that situation before Daly reacted to it.

Waterford game aside you can give the "fine margins" excuse for each of our losses though, definitely not good enough on the whole.

Fairly obvious I would have thought. Is our strength and conditioning good enough, how do we end up without a bench with the biggest budget in the league. I nearly gVe a poor auld lad a heart attack celebrating our winner doesn't mean I can't question the obvious

Had to laugh, in the first half the ball went out for a Bohs throw and bounced into Higgins hands. He threw it away from the Bohs player taking it. In the 89th min he was running around looking for a ball for a Bohs player to throw in.

Was waiting on Waterford to fill my treble along with Bohs and Shels and watched last 30 at Oriel, neither team seemed particularly bothered about scoring, wheels coming off Waterford after their good start?

2nd goal was particularly poor as we basically conceded the same goal twice. Mulraney made a difference when he came on but we're just not good at creating chances. Freeman hit some good crosses in the 1st half but he was a disaster defensively. Forrester poor yet again he hasn't started the season well at all.

And what person, dead or alive, would Stephen invite to dinner.

The Bohs march to the title is gathering steam.

The common denominator for Bohs could be Croly left the first team coaching squad last year and looked what happened, back in this week look what happened. He is known to be one of the best coaches in the country?????

Very pleasing performance there tonight. Every player worked for the full 90 mins. That was something missing far too often during Devine's tenure. Why Mills was on the bench for the last couple of games I'll never know as he looks a fine defender. I know Talbot was back on the bench tonight but I feel he may have to stay there a while longer Chorazka played really well and looks to excell at coming to claim balls at the edge of the box and distribution which are both weak points for Talbot.

On Derry they're a bit strange. They very obviously have quality but lacked a bit of imagination tonight. Their goal was a screamer but outside of that I'm not sure they had any great chances. Maybe they move the ball a bit too slowly or something but they seemed to run out of ideas very quickly.

21 wins in a row against Galway. I like Galway. Could we not do this to a more deserving club?

Mad stuff in dalymount, daft mistake plus poor marking handing us a two goal lead, then Derry get a cracker, then the keeper pulls off an incredible stop to keep out a fine piszchek header, late scramble from them yields nothing, very very exciting second half I must say.
All played well tonight too, paddy Kirk was outstanding, as were both centre backs, keeper very solid.
Piszchek led the line well and the work rate in midfield was outstanding. Lovely to see Trevor back on the line, handed out a few right bollockings!
I’d give him and Pender the job myself, at least this season.

Pender doesn't have the right badges to take over full time and Croly still has his day job so that won't be happening unfortunately.
