Didn't realise this. Only turned on at half time.
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.

anyone know when was the last time rte showed the FIRST qualifying round of Europe?? And this against a none-too-recognisable team for the uninitiated... I remember Drogheda against Kiev but that was the second round...?

ha well I just meant when was the last time RTE showed the *first* game of any Irish team's European campaign... The Drogheda game was
also in the 2nd QR but it was their second game and it was against Dynamo Kiev who are reasonably well known.. ie its not unusual for rte to jump on the bandwagon after a tie or two but here clearly Dundalk's success last year has committed them to start from this round...

Drogheda beat Levadia Tallinn in the round before playing Kiev.

They showed both legs of City v Apollon Limmasol and against Red Star Belgrade in 2006.

I'd prefer EirSport to be showing the Dundalk games. Their coverage is far better.

    A Championship: 4 years - 8 first teams - 0 financially ruined. First Division '14: 7 first teams.
Opportunity lost for new clubs/regions to join the LoI family.

I wouldn't, as I don't have EIR, means I can record the home match and watch the away leg in my own house now!
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), first Irish club to win points in a group stage in Europe (2016).

Nope, it was on SRFCTV before the FAI shut it down. Second leg was on Setanta.
