I'd just like to know is Jinxy cycling a bike if it's taking him almost four hours to get from Dundalk to Galway?

im up and down to Galway regularly 1 hour 45 minutes from the red cow roundabout to the roundabout at the entrance to the city.
I think your right on the Bicycle theory
If you were to leave from Dundalk to Galway right now. Cross country is the quickest route at just over 3 hours.

3 best placed teams in the league and league cup winner.
I know it's not everyone's cup of tea. I've no problem with so-called dead rubbers. I was at Limerick's last game in Thomond Park against Sligo and the final U17 league game this season.
Ruud Dokter was saying he had to find the right youth structure for the country and not just use a structure from another country. In a similar vein I think a Europa League playoff would be a good fit for the league. The proof of the pudding is in the eating!
The league gained a third Europa League spot with the ending of the Intertoto Cup. If the league had only two spots, there would be no platform for such a play-off. The cup winner and league runners-up are rightly guaranteed European football. If everyone knows at the start of a season that x number of places are for playoff positions, I think it's fair enough. Playoff talk splits opinion. It's not everyone's cup of tea.

1,328 in The Showgrounds. First time I've ever seen the away section totally empty.

What would you do with the cup place? This year we know that Cork City and Dundalk have already qualified so its fine, but say next year the finalists are Dundalk and Bray. Dundalk already gauarnteed a European place but Bray are in the bottom half for example. How would you organise that? Would you allow both finalists into Europe if Dundalk win the cup, but only the winner if its Bray? When would you schedule it? Is it before or after the cup?
I'm not totally opposed to the idea, just wondering how it would work.
Schedule the cup final before the end of the league season. The Sunday after the October international weekend stands out. The cup finalists could play their league games on the Wednesday before the cup final on the Sunday.
There will most likely be two rounds of league games after the cup final. Schedule the playoff semi-finals on the Monday and Friday after the end of the season. The playoff final on the Monday and Friday of the following week. An extra week to current end of season.

Ultimately we need to ensure the best teams go into Europe.
3rd V 4th over two legs would reduce dead rubber in the league and playing the match over two legs would determine who's better at winning matches over two legs,vv important for Europe
oh boy I'm not good at football forums
