For all the problems we have trying to build a new stadium, at least we're well ahead of other clubs' (and the FAI's) new stadium plans, most of theirs still have to leave the "pen-and-paper" stage!

It's your chairman's fault, that Roddy left. If he offered Roddy a contract, then Roddy wouldn't have left, at least until the end of the season. The subject of contracts in a key position in any business should be the first thing that the employee should have. The fact that Roddy wasn't offered one to sign, in such a position as first team manager of an Irish football club, smacks of gross incompetence by your beloved Seery. He knew for 4 months that Roddy could leave the club at any time. The fact it was two weeks before the end of the season was simply coincidence. Home Farm were already down anyway, as they were since before a ball was kicked last season. They were so far out of their depth in the league it was incredible, and finished the season 13 points from safety.

Roddy would probably have left your club at the end of the season anyway, once your relegation was officially confirmed. Roddy Collins despite his faults, is an ambitious man, and Home Farm are not an ambitious club. Do you honestly think he would have remained there while you ploughed through the first division minefield? I feel sorry for Dermot Keely at your club, he's an ambitious man too. He may also leave you, when a bigger club come looking for him next season, as they inevitably will. Don't be surprised.

b) Roddy did not just leave the club. He made sure there was no way DCFC could catch Rovers by destroying the team that he built. Players would not travel from England & we ended up playing our under 21’s in the last game.
c) Roddy Collins is an ambitious man. He’s the first manager, I’ve seen at a press conference, on being appointed, touting for another job. “ I will manage Celtic & Ireland one day”
d) As for Seery & the DCFC Board. A Rovers fan slagging of the competence of any board or chairman is a joke

While it is distasteful what Rodders done, Rocky has been around long enough to know the risks he took. It was a gamble, something Rocky has to do all the time, only this time it failed.

Answers:

A: If Roddy didn't want a contract, then Seery shouldn't have taken him on. If it was because of a car, or better known as a "conspiracy theory", then why was he so eager to sign a contract with Rovers, and therefore, return his car to Carlisle?

B: In order for Home Farm to catch us and survive, they would have to win all their remaining games, hope we lost all of ours, catch us on goal difference (25-odd goals), AND beat us in the last league game, as much chance as Cyprus have of qualifying for the World Cup! i.e. Mission Impossible.

C: Roddy didn't tout himself for the Ireland job. As much as he would like to manage Ireland, he knows, we know, and he knows that we know, that he wouldn't get it. He simply explained how ambitious he is.

D: Our board may be incapable and incompetent football administrators, but that doesn't excuse other boards of being the same. Roddy's departure from Home Farm, was ultimately Seery's fault, for not protecting his manager from leaving, with a valid contract, regardless of whether he wanted one or not.

E: We didn't have any relegation rivals. Home Farm were bottom, and destined to stay there from game 1 until game 36. At the end of the season, they finished bottom of the league as expected, 13 points from safety.
