Took in Glenvale and carrigtwohil last night as i was in the area after work..still managed to miss the 1st 15 minutes but good game glenvale took the lead marky cans and mcbride were class above this division also their was number 8 bish i think they called him was class good game all around was no need for some of the cards by the referee number 6 for carrig got soft yellow no need by the referee everybody was laughing at him over it
Refereeing is an absolute disgrace. Some of the calls they make are scandalous. No consistency.

All grand saying the referees are poor But if you didnt try it dont knock its hard enough job for them without 15 fellas on a line abusing ya over giving a throw to the other team or calling a offside with 12 fellas on 1 line calling for offside and 10 on other line saying he is well onside..i be quick to say i used to slate them left right n centre when i played but having took a step back the past couple of years i know how tough a job they have..
I'm not arguing it's a tough job but **** they get so many things wrong. Seen a game recently a player was appealing for a goal which was a mile over the line and put his hand on the refs shoulder. No malice wasn't shouting. Got sent off. Saw another one where the ref called a player an ugly **** and the player called him something back and got an 18 month ban. How is that right? I agree little things we get over but you have to use common sense

Look lads the way things are going at the moment referees are becoming less and less. This is part of the reason that will lead to a backlog in fixtures. Not taking away from the fact that they are getting paid to exercise but is there any amount of money worth the abuse they get. Take the 22 players on the pitch out of it, they get more abuse from subs and managers and the abuse I've heard come from supporters isn't acceptable. I have learned with experience the best thing to do is leave them off. You'll gain more for your team by doing so.
Davey if we are both thinking of the same fella who got the 18 month ban then if we have the same player in mind then what he said to the referee was a disgrace. No need to abuse a ref or bring the ref's family into it. I know there are a few different stories going around about the incident I have in mind but I think that 18 months was lucky if what I heard was true.
Any fixtures tonight lads
