No offense to cork but thats a massive clime down for smith. He was tipped to be rangers first choice by year end before they imploded. I always felt his nationality would prevent him being a success there tough. His then signing was more PR me thinks

I'm not sure going from Scotlands division 1 to the LOI is a step down
    Here on a technicality.

Sully is very much on top of the signings here, but for the benefit of those outside the fold the somewhat patchy looking list as it stands does not include 'keeper Matt Connor, wide man Ross Fitzpatrick and forwards Mikie Rowe, Daryl Power and Ethan Boyle. All five were dual U19/Senior players last season and will be again this year.

I have based the squad list on the players announced by the club. The only three U19 players I've heard of been signed so far are Aaron O Connor, Shane Mackey and Ross Fitzpatrick. I'm expecting the club to announce several U19 players to join the first squad for the forthcoming season a long with a couple of other players.

Where's Kevin Burns, Conor Coad, Gavin O'Donovan, John Frost, Andrew O'Connor, Kevin, O'Connor, Glen Hawe, Mark Walsh and Vinny Sullivan? Hawe and Walsh are the only ones who have featured in pre-season so I presume the rest are gone?

Kevin Burns is gone to America afaik. I think Conor Coad, Andrew O'Connor and Gavin O'Donovan have gone back to junior football. Glen Hawe, Greg Peel and Willie Jon Kiely have been playing with the Blues in preseason but the club are yet to announce whether they are signing or not. Mark Walsh has played a game with the Blues in preseason but I've heard he has another offer on the table. As for Kevin O Connor heard he's been training with Hull and had couple offers from Premier LOI sides (Expected to lose him before last season ended). And John Frost and Vinny Sullivan are now coaches with the Blues.

Harps have added RuairI Keating and Regan Donelon from Sligo Rovers and Nathan Boyle from Derry.

Keating is a massive boost to Harps.

This squad on paper now looks pretty strong. If Harps can get a good start they should be able to compete much better than the last number of seasons.

What is the most up to date odds now for the first division?

Shouldn't be too far off. A large squad at Horgans disposal now. I just hope to feck he's not negative and goes out and attacks teams with the options there now.

Not sure on odds, but I'm now delighted I took a Harps (25/1) and Cork (9/2) double e/w.

Agree Keating is a good signing/return, I was hoping Galway would have tried to get him.

Apparently a few clubs wanted him and Harps were his own choice.

Not much chance for him to get into the Rovers team with Nielsen, Corcoran and probably Raff ahead of him. Im sure he'll get his chance with us sooner or later. Hopefully he gets a load of goals for Harps, it can only be good for us in the long run. Apparently the loan is only till the summer. Don't know about Donelon. Seen him a few times and wasn't convinced.
Manager: Fergal, have you your boots with ya?
Fergal: Ya, I have them here.
Manager: Ah good stuff, well give them to this man so, he forgot his!
