Two massive results tonight for us. I just hope to god the players are grounded and go beat Rovers next Friday. If we're not fully focused next Friday we could end up having to go to Ballybofey and get a result.....not what I want!

Ah no I don't see us getting cocky. I was worried about nerves getting to the lads but tonight is a real boost. Should be a big crowd, go and attack them. They're not really up to much, wouldn't be at all surprised if Galway took points off Shels too.

Not that it probably matters much, but, if Galway beat Shels they can go second.

Didn't realise that. Even better. They'll be very much up for it so, plus there's the family connection with TC and Tommy Dunne. Not that we should need to rely on them but until we're actually up..

This is the time for cool heads, concentration, discipline, and belief in ourselves, 3 points next weekend and it's all over bar the shouting, I believe the ref will have a hugh say in the result lets hope for fair play from the officals not like the game against Wexford a few weeks ago

It's all over including any shouting if we get three points, we win the league mathematically and every other way. We're too strong physically for Rovers B, they're very young. If they play defensively like they did a couple of months back they may be awkward for a while but if and when our first goal goes in it'll be game over. We'll need to take it seriously but I can't see anything other than a comfortable win in the circumstances.

I realise the maths I should have wrote party, I sat in the empty stands across from Section O again tonight, when those guys have a roof over thier heads they make some noise, absolutely top class never stopped singing all night even when it was over they stayed back for the warm down,
Jim If we do get promoted build section O a stand but make sure the roof is secure because if De Town win anything it's liable to come off

gas thing is when word came out that Micheal Funston had got the winner we went even madder! the stewards were begging us to leave and were tryin to ask us to leave for the previous few mins! I am so glad we stayed where we are! I could nearly cry with the emotion of today!
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
