Sorry ian but from where i was thought the game passed him by the vast majority of the time.So far i can't see him offering us anything extra in the middle of the field.

Ah sure go on, he's played his first league game very well imo, just abuse him sure and I'm sure he'll improve.
    Theres no abuse here, XR.
Gamble didn't do to badly, but he is not better than Colin.
Greg at right back, Colin in the centre would have been a much better formation last night.
Greg would have put in a few heavy tackles on their winger in the first few minutes and quitened him down.

And Georgie up front with Doyler.

jesus XR calm down a little let the red mist drift away from your eyes.Firstly I gave my opinion which as far as I know Im entitled to give and secondly if you feel what i said is abuse then you must be a very sensitive person. And im not speaking for thecorner on this one and finally i still think the game passed gamble by or am i allowed to say that

Gamble, IMO, did no better than Colin would and if anything is weaker in the tackle. Too often last night and in his previous outing his attempts at tackles are from behind and are more likely to give away a free than to win the ball.
There was a glimpse of his flair when went on a run forward in the second half, so maybe better is to come.
Best player last night? Don't think there was one. No one particularly poor either.

As for dropping Fenn, don't know about that, but some serious video analysis is required to establish why for all our possession and chances we don't score much.

will agree XR he was ok but nothing more than that and imo he didn't offer anything more than we already have.Again agree time will tell if he is going to be a class player but I have a gut feeling another midfielder at least will have to be brought in.

OK. You are confusing what you might see in the future with an opinion on how he played last night.
Of course he could go on to become the next Zidane, but in last night's game he did ok at best, no more.

thought he did ok, but nothing great. he kept switching the ball from one full back to another, which might keep possesion but doesn't exactly help attack-wise. He's showed flashes, but we need to wait a while before judging him
