    Mark This Forum Read

Apologies if this has been brought up before.

When I click "Forum Tools" -> "Mark This Forum Read", it appears as though nothing happens (even though I know it clears cookies or whatever in the background and does actually work).

Wouldn't it be better to refresh the page after selecting this action, or give some sort of confirmation message (if that's possible)?

Try doing it on the main home page. Double click the icon beside the forum, and it changes colour, which lets you know the action's been done.

(Not really the cleanest answer to your problem, but it might help)

Cheers. The action works inside a forum, it just isn't obvious that it does.

It's an old problem with the forum software, try clearing your cache to purge the javascript files.

Thanks. Clearing the cache worked the first time but it is slightly inconsistent if I try it in a few subsequent forums. Although it works on page refresh, the menu stays open and it doesn't update asynchronously. Tried debugging the JavaScript but it's compressed so can't get into the function being called. Using Firefox 5.

    No biggy though.

I had the same problem myself for a while and I can't remember what fixed it to be honest. I have an upgrade coming in the next week or so though, so I'll post here when that's complete and if it's still apparent I'll see if I can track it down. Thanks for the report.
