I heard that the Shannonside manager from last year is going back to Kildimo to be the assistant manager there.

I'd fancy ballingarry to stay up going by their last year and a half of soccer.
Not sure about Kildimo though ...

Thers a lot of inconsistency of teams in the premier league so its impossible to tell

Ballingarry way too good to be anywhere else but the premier, I heard that Mick Ahern has signed for them from Pike so he will be a good addition. I heard alright that Jerry Cronin had got Newcastle job, but I wouldnt believe for a minute that the Abbey boys will follow him, Why would they when Abbey are in better condition that Newcastle. I also heard that there is major activity in Broadford with Ray Lynch in charge with Tossie Butler, Joe McAullife, Alan Fitzpatrick and Marty Foley all having played games with them. Not sure who the Foley lad is but he is meant to be good by all accounts

Its not as bad as the rovers field who have been in the premier for x amount of years now
cant see Joe McAullife, Alan Fitzpatrick (both St.Itas am i correct?) making a huge difference to the Broadford team..

I'd reckon Kildimo and Askeaton are the most likely candidates to go down next year!
And it's anyones title again next year, all depends on who starts well and gets a run going!!

Ya, Mick Barry going back to Rathkeale again I heard. He played a 7-side tournamnet with them in the last few weeks.
He will be a loss to Kildimo.

Ya shannonside basically threw it away..it was in their own hands and the fluffed it..rathkeale good footballing team but were thought a lesson by Newcastle west in the 2 cup finals..they started very bad last year but were probably the best team in the league during the second half of the season

Shannonside was only formed 2/3 years ago, it is the Foynes and Shanagolden clubs combined, Foynes last won the premier in '98.
Personally i cant see them challenging for the premier again this year... I feel last season was a once off for them.

Interesting. I was wondering why I'd never heard of them until recently. I remember Foynes being a very good side before alright

Lads does anyone know what the story is with Rathkeale and Newcastle next year. I heard a month ago about Sean Hartnett taking over Rathkeale but have heard nothing since, in fairness you could see why Rathkeale might find it hard to find a manager as they are a team in transition, but as for Newcastle, they seem to be all over the shop, its the first time I can remember other Desmond League clubs poaching their players and looking like they might get them, we are now in the middle of July and they still dont have their manager sorted, or has Jerry Cronin taken the job in the last few days. The last I heard of him was that himself and Anthony O'Donnell were going to Shannonside
