    Fantastic thanks.

Trying to figure out which game it was. Definitely 79/80 and with Jaws Ryan and Tony Fitz think maybe Thurles Town but not sure.

Yep... I'm pretty sure Thurles were the only ones wearing yellow and blue back then

Not as easy as that though as could be an away strip.

Definitely not Dundalk, Athlone, Waterford (we scored at the other end as remember al running the length of the popularside when he got the late equaliser), Sligo, Drogheda, Cork utd, Galway, Shamrock Rvs, Bohs, Pats, Shels

Think it is Thurles, others UCD (crowd too big 1st game of season small crowd), Home Farm (might be away colours but Tony Meaney replaced jaws and too late for Tony Fitz), Harps (it poured rain that)

From about 18:30 in, Limerick FC vs Southampton. Tony Ward with a nice run.

Anybody know where you can get more footage like this? RTE seem to have a backlog of requests according to their website.

lads, if i tell you i was there it'll give my age away! Jeez that was a great day. If my ageing memory serves me well i think Kevin Keegan played for Southampton that night. Not as good as our Tony.He was brill in the Cup final also, pity he did'nt play more often, what you saw on that clip was only a glimpse of what the guy could do.

Keegan definitely played. Wardy was brilliant.

I found an old Limerick Leader from the game and there was a picture of a local lad named Kevin Keegan meeting his namesake before the game. Ah good times!
