    The Close Season Prediction/Opinion Thread

Yes, it's once again that exciting time of year as we all wait for the wonders of the LOI off-season to unfold before our eyes. Enough of this football crap hogging the headlines- it's time to get down to the real nitty-gritty of licensing, tax certificates, financial meltdowns and of course transfers.

In light of this, it might be fun to try to predict what will transpire over the winter.

Number of winding up orders faced by Cork City:
Number of winding up orders faced by other clubs (specify who):
    Percentage staff turnover at Dundalk:
    Licensing failures (who and why):
    Fudgey fudge?:
Will Derry be in the league next year, and at what level:
What clubs will not start next season:
    Most sensational transfer deal:
Number of Galway clubs in the LOI by next season:
    Will/should A League Be continued?:
    Will/should U20 league be continued?:
Will any lessons be learned from this season:
What will the LOI review bring forth?:

Number of winding up orders faced by Cork City: 6
Number of winding up orders faced by other clubs (specify who): 0
Percentage staff turnover at Dundalk: 94.3258%
    Licensing failures (who and why):
    Derry - Obvious,
Cork - Foras undercover agent working from within the FAI to bring TNB down,
Dundalk - no ground for Galway when Salthill and Mervue get preference for Terryland [for a percentage of the rent] so, the FAI move Galway to Oriel just to p!ss Dundalk off and make a dvd about it.
Wexford - money problems but Wallace's hair is the main reason,
Kildare - they simply won't apply,
Fudgey fudge?: Allowing Derry city 69, enter at First Division level
Will Derry be in the league next year, and at what level: Yes First division
What clubs will not start next season: Take your pick
Most sensational transfer deal: Conor Gethins to Man United for 37 Million.
Number of Galway clubs in the LOI by next season: 24
Will/should A League Be continued?: Yes and yes
Will/should U20 league be continued?: Yes - and under an improved system with more games
Will any lessons be learned from this season:
What will the LOI review bring forth?: an untried but exciting 12 team premier division

I predict Dundalk will be wearing candystripes next season for most away games as it will make most of their new team find their team mates and not get confused aka the manu team V Southampton years ago.
So if you think Bohs are big read this. http://www.astronomy.ie/perpespective.html

    What was.

What indeed was the accumalative number of games Dundalk players missed this past season through suspensions??They averaged a sending off every second game so its going to be around the 40/50 mark maybe?
