Has to be Shels, to paraphrase a nursery rhyme....
There was a little club, run by a little dub,
Right in the middle of Drumcondra,
When they were good, they were very very good
but when they were bad they went unda. [Thanks dcfcsteve]
Shels would also be the LOI club of the Naughties by the way.

Dublin City.
Longford Town for the buy of the century...never mind the 00's
This is going to choke me to say it, but the exemplar of the 21st century to date could probably be UCD. They managed to have a good spell in the Premier, got to a League Cup Final, built a new home, had a couple of U21 caps and a B cap too, I think.
In the negative box, however, they did introduce Paul Doolin to the game and had difficulties with transfers to Shels, and had a stupid name change (UCD Dublin?). If anything though, that made them stronger, and they are have apparently managed to avoid a serious financial meltdown.
That question was less stupid, though you asked it in a profoundly stupid way.
Help me, Arthur Murphy, you're my only hope!

The transfer difficulties with Shels weren't our fault. Doolin, on the other hand, we hold our hands up on.

Never got anyone relegated, I believe. Just like Roddy Collins. Not the only thing they have in common either.

Adding up premier division points for the whole decade would be the fairest way of judging, surely? in which case, we win, since Shels don't have any prem. points for the past two seasons
