Would i be right and saying that their costs seem to be a bit low that ours (or what i thought they would have been)
It is all about product ...... it has to be good.
there's a good article on the Derry City website by Alex McWilliams of Glentoran on how much day-to-day running of his club costs:

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
I honestly have no idea what the running costs are for CCFC, but the Glens' costs are in Sterling, so maybe that's why they seem low...
The costs are roughly €245,000, converted from sterling.
eL teams would probably have higher travel costs, with further distances between clubs. Main advantage of eL clubs would be not getting charged VAT on gate receipts. Except that doesn't apply for us, yet another disadvantage of living under those British scum.
Have you ever won the treble?
all those details will have to be released as part of Uefa licenscing next year won't they.
Dublin clubs do get to make a saving when it comes to travelling expenses compared to Derry, Cork City, Waterford and Longford, but i think in general the EL gets bigger gates than the IL. All goes to show how important it is to get a high and consistent level of home attendance.
That figure doesn't include wages though

Remember the Shels programme a couple of years back saying that their budget was £1,000,000. Much bigger than the E245,000 (£193k), but obviously not allowing for wages, etc.
Shels and Bohs wage bills alone must be way over a million at this stage.... I thought I heard around Shoddy's time that their wage bill was a million then...

does any one know how much individual players earn?
Well our total runnig costs (inc wages) are around the mill mark so I'd guess Bohs and Shels would be almost double that

Just realised that Bohs wage bill would've been a million pounds.... Fookin hell, no wonder they're in debt...

According to Kildare Saint on our MB, its just over 1 mill. It worked out an average of 750 Euro per week (and remember these are full time so they are getting paid 52 weeks of the year)Originally posted by Macy

It was actually a member that told me one time in the bar after a game there..... Infairness to spock, he's reduced the size of the squad since Shoddy's days, so wouldn't be surprised if it's come down.....

A grand a week at Bohs, allegedly. All tax free if they stay in the country for ten years.Originally posted by crc
