Someone else got kicked out for retrieving the ball from the far side of the orange netting. He got back in though.

    Go on the Youths!

Was over at the Rovers - Drogs game. Awful first half, about 1 chance each then Rovers score right on half time, another poachers finish from Twigg. Second half started much brighter, a bit of niggle came into the game and Rovers got well on top, blatant handball for the penalty, then a dreadful kick from Sean O'Connor, I was behind the goal and I could have nipped out from where I was and saved it, it was that bad. Rovers totally dominated the half and had some great chances, Twigg missed from about 2 yards when he failed to connect with a free header and it came off his shoulder. Drogs goal was an awful mix up between Price and Murphy in goal, Price wanted Murphy to come out and tried to sheperd it back, Murphy was slow to come and allowed Duffy to nip between them. Unless Murphy was screaming for it Price has to take the blame, he really should have dealt with it.

    Great result for Drogheda.

Maybe the automatic relegation spot is not a foregone conclusion.

Last four games for Drogs - win away in Bray, home draw with Dundalk, late winner for Bohs in Dalyer, draw against Hoops. 5 points.

Last four games for Dundalk, scrappy win at home to Galway, draw with Drogs, home defeats against poor Pats and Sligo teams. 4 points.

Suddenly the six points gap (and the 4 between Drogheda and Bray) doesn't look so large anymore.

Next weeks fixtures will tell a lot

    Dundalk ........Drogheda........Bray
    Shamrocks (A)..Cork (H) .........Sligo (H)
    Bray (H) .........Galway (A) ......Dundalk (A)

    Disgust.

Longford against Finn Harps, the ref gave a yellow for a Finn harps player kicking a town player on the ground. Lovely.

    Who was the ref?

We had that tool Keith Callanan, shocking performance, how in the name of god he is allowed ref at any level is beyond reason, and with the annoyance that is buttimer as 4th official aswel.

That was a joke alright. Should have been a straight red without doubt.

Paul Tuite I think, could be wrong though.

Yeah, it was Paul Tuite alright. Could easily have been a red card but there was no real niggle in the game. Two fairly poor teams on show.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

Here, watch the highlights from Galway. Specifically the replays of the penalty incident at 2:32. Definitely inside the box.

That's pretty much spot on. O'Neill shoud give his players the hairdryer treatment for letting that one slip. They were much the better team. You have to credit Drogheda though. They're lacking in ability, but they have a huge amount of fight in them. Good away support, too.

We were due one against Waterford. Cracking win and a great performance by team. Very impressed with young Vickers I have to say who played on the right wing last night caused the left side of Waterford a lot of problems.

After the way we lost to Shelbourne, shows we are made of more sterner stuff mentality this season. Sporting Franchise next, come on the Youths.

Good results from our point of view this weekend with Bohs beating Cork and Rovers drawing. Hope we can catch up further next Tuesday against Pats.

Havn't read the rest of the thread but on our game:

Fairly even in the first half, seemed nervy and we shaded possession. Second half was a completely different story, Bohs came out fired up and overran us in midfield for large portions. We badly missed Gamble.

The difference really though was the quality upfront. Bohs have Byrne who will finish most chances whereas we have no one with that bit of quality as a finisher.

Bohs deserved the win but once again we get a big crowd in and completely let ourselves down, most wont be back.

Did anyone see what happened at the end when the ball ended up in the net? Was it offside or a foul on the keeper?

Im 99% sure it was for offside. For alot of pressure Cork had near the end they didnt really create anything decent which is good from our point of view because I felt we sat back to early and what happened in Tallght was going to happen again but thankfully we held on

Great atmosphere, great game and great weather, what summer football should be all about

Apart from the great game part I'd agree with you. Can't see many of the newbies being back after our performance.

Good crowd of Bohs down though, great to see

It's widely regarded as Bohs fans favourite away trip of the season for the atmosphere the away lot generate
