Was gonna say 'what about 1st Division odds' then I remembered I don't care anymore
Irish by birth ,Harps by the grace of god.
I think Wexford could struggle. I expect Finn Harps to outperform them (at this extremely early point when we have no idea what any team will look like).
Seen an article saying Wexford are looking to stick with majority local-ish players. If thats the case can't see them finishing anywhere but bottom. Can see Harps surprising a few people. Galway will struggle i reckon. Can only see Wexford, Harps, Galway and Longford fighting out the bottom 4 places.
Athlone Town AFC 1887-2017
The handicaps and match season odds will be more interesting I reckon.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.
Bray could of course go bust midseason. Examinership wouldn't surprise me there, it would be a fitting way for them to finally be relegated!
Dont know why the last 2 season runners up and Cup too would be lower than Shamrock Rovers. Pats is one for a tenner. Outsiders ok but Bohs gave us most problems this season so 40s hmmm tempting.
Could say the same about Derry being above Bohs. There's always a bit of money to be made in LOI betting because the oddsmakers aren't as informed as they are about most leagues, so you get things that don't make much sense statswise.
edit: you are right though, I thought they'd be more biased towards recent trends, but they're probably using models based on bigger leagues so they'd be taking into account five years ago, etc.

Is JC_GUFC doing their LOI odds? He used to anyway so he'd have a fair idea of recent form.

Yep Bohs seemed to be improving all the time throughout the last year. Akinade was a real find and their team was v competitive, if a bit direct at times. If they can bring in a couple of players they could certainly push on to the European places next yr
11/4 is nuts for our mob, maybe if they put another 2 goals at the dugouts and opposite that over on the sideline at the east stand maybe cos we are the masters at sideways football. I want to see Rovers attack attack attack in one half over to where the mountains are Pat and then in the other half over towards where the shopping Center is.
