I'm developing a head cold and starting to feel very sorry for myself

P.S. Magicme and Paul McGrath would make a lovely couple based on the picture on the Mons website. You can really see the fear in his eyes

    Aw big hugs.

I love putting men in fear, enough men have scared me so its a great way of balancing the karma!

I'm in a job dilemma. A job triangle. Have regular job I dont want to go back to as they're dodgily run. In temping job and applied for a few full-time jobs, and I applied for one that I didnt know was an old job. Surprisingly they want me back and made me an offer. Told temping job the situation and they've a vacancy I'm going to apply for and have a decent chance of getting. Weighing up all the risks, but it's a nice problem.

packing when you are moving from one part of the country to another part of the country is much, much easier than packing to leave a country completely. I'm doing the latter, and it is sickening.

That said, the late night shochu and ice is calming me down a bit.

You have my sympathy. I've always found moving incredibly stressful, even when it's only from one apartment to another one just around the corner. Even if you only live in a place for a short time personally I find you build attachments to it and it's quite a wrench to move on.

I can't imagine the stress of relocating from one country to another having settled there, I think it'd break me

    Good luck with it!

For the 438th day in a row since giving up drink I am thinking of having a drink this evening.

But I won't because life is so without it.

Along these lines a little bit, I am now 18 days off the tabs, and so far, at the risk of making an unpopular statement, I have had no inclination to kill anything, or even maim anything to any great degree. It has been suspiciously, and somewhat disappointingly, easy so far. I'm beginning to think I was never really hooked on the feckin' things to begin with.

You really need a proper addiction to try and beat Stann. Why not Heroin? I'm at the game tomorrow, I'll bring you a small bag, the kind I use when trawling for 12 year olds - sweets don't cut it any more.

    I love Lamp.
That question was less stupid, though you asked it in a profoundly stupid way.

Help me, Arthur Murphy, you're my only hope!

I am going to whack a few golf balls around a golf course instead.

Maybe they were never "good" pills in the first place.
Keep up the good work on staying away from them. The only music in my head these days come from my MP3 player , safer and healthier that way.

I'd really like to be down for the match this weekend as it looks like it'll be a good session and I haven't got to a match in ages, but really can't... argghhhh

Oops. I see now I chose that term quite wrongly.
I did mean ciggies! The only popping here comes from my dodgy knees.
