League Cup semi final

We are playing Derry City on Bank Holiday Monday at Terryland. They whipped us last week in the League but since then we have won in Finn Hark but they lost at home to semi pros Shamrock Rovers.

Extra time and penos if needed.

Hopefully be an improvement on last week. I saw a bit of Derry's game last night and they weren't great. If we dont gift them goals we have a chance!

I wasn't in Finn park but it seems Jeff did well at CB and the commentators gave Conneely Man of the Match. Fitzy is available again after suspension but I 'm not sure I'd put him in ahead of Jeff. Conneely has to stay at rb IMO Kenna doesnt have the pace to play there.
Derry weren't great at home to Rovers so I reckon tomorrow nights game will be a lot closer than the last time. If we don't make any stupid mistakes we could be in the final!
I'd go for the same team as against Harps, but I reckon Jeff might sit this one out. What do ye think?

i hope he doesnt sit this one out - fitz is v. bad appart from in the air - jeff reads it better than him

I think fitz will be starting this one as Jeff will probably need him to get his confidence up in this match rather than waiting to bring him back in a more important league match. Jeff will probably sit this one out after playing the full 90 in ballybofey.

We could be without Murphs, Iarflaith cup tied and I dont know whether Jorgensen is eligible.

We knocked Longford out of the LC in the first round, Iarfhlaith didnt play.

If we win and lets say play Cork City in the final does that mean we get into the Setanta cup even if we dont win the final??Cork will probably get into it through their league position so if they beat us do we get that place???Anyone know how it works???Are we one game away from the Setanta Cup??(thats providing Cork beat Wexford of course).

This came up in the LOI section some time ago, which the general consenus been that it DOES NOT, was said it goes to the next team in the league
