    Wednesday's Quiz

Just bored so thought I'd give similarly bored people out there something to think about for the day....

    1) Which former European Cup winners are now playing in the 3rd level in their domestic league?

    2) Which club has won the most domestic league titles in the world?

    3) Which club has won the most consecutive league titles in the world?

    4) Which club has spent the most seasons in the French top flight?

    5) Which player has played club football in the top flight of the English, French, German, Spanish and Italian leagues?

    6) Which player holds the record amount of international caps for a European country?

    7) Which country has finished as runners-up in the World Cup most often?

    8) Which country did the Faroe Islands beat in their first ever competitive match?

    9) Which player scored the first ever "Golden Goal" in a World Cup Finals match.

    10) Assuming England were the original world champions and that the "world championship title" is passed on when the holder is beaten who would now be the current holders? (OK I know no-one will get this but it will be interesting to see some of the guesses!)
I phoned the speaking clock to hear a voice speak, it said - "At the tone you will be very much alone"

Schumi you'll find that Celtic don't even hold the record for most league titles in Scotland, let alone the world

Fair enough, it was a guess, hence the question mark. My knowledge of Scottish football is fairly limited!

I'm pretty sure Skonto Riga is the answer to 3, and I think Florin Raducioiu for 5.

Celtic and Rangers jointly hold the Scottish record with nine successive titles.

I think Sheridan is right, Skonto won the first 14 Latvian league championships.

I know, but wouldn't Celtic be given the record since they were the first to do it?

Why would one assume that England were the original world champions?

I had that notion too, for some reason. Can't name many Estonian internationals off the top of my head other than Andres Oper, but he'd hardly be old enough.

I suppose technically the record holder would be a woman...

#10 is pointless, it changes almost every international matchday.
