    Disabled faciliies?

Are LOI Clubs obliged to have disabled facilities (wheelchir access, toilets, designated parking)?

What grounds have these facilities and what one's don't?

Terryland has had wheelchair friendly toilets for years but I noticed that there are now two parking spaces for disabled just beside the entrance.

We have toilets for the disabled(ladies and gents) at both ends of our stand along with a covered area beside the pitch for persons in wheelchairs to view the game.

There are a number of disabled parking spaces in the car park outside the main gate.

Turners Cross has really improved disabled facilities, in the new stand. Wheelchair friendly toilets there now as well (think there was some all the time though). The parking isn't there i dont think (specifically assigned for wheelchair users anyway) but its not a problem, as there is good access.

Parking inside the Showgies, not designated for disabled but disabled people can still park there. Wheelchair section in new stand. Don't think toilets are very wheelchair friendly though, may be wrong.

IIRC, the disabled toilets in the Showgrounds actually were a step up off the ground. That was when you were in D1 though.

Station Road has sloped entrances to the stand and no steps into the building.

The old toilets has no step up to it but the new ones at the back of new stand has.

Just a small correction, the parking spaces are inside the ground.

Belfield Park is pretty poor. There're 2 wheelchair spaces in the stand and parking in the ground but the path in isn't paved properly and the disabled toilets are about 200 yards away in a neighbouring building.

The Bowl is much better. There's 2 sets of disabled toilets (so that rival disabled fans can be kept seperate!), a ramp will run down the slope at the left of the stand and the wheelchair spaces are at the front of the stand.

You very rarely see supporters in wheelchairs at EL grounds. Very few at Terryland anyway. Wheelchair accessible areas are more often used by supporters on crutches, parents with buggies, etc.

Clubs in the UK make great efforts to faciltate supporters with disabilities and those who are blind (eg headphones wth match commentary).

I used to be with it. Then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me. It'll happen to you!

It should be pointed out that Richmond has one of the few upstairs wheelchair toilets in the world. Sod that clover-leaf flyover Red Cow roundabout nonsense, we got a mid-air ramp for our crips, that's how progressive we are.
