Could be time to dust off the 'Big Club' banner again

Don't think its right that 2 clubs should benefit and the rest of the clubs get nothing. How about spreading out the money and giving each club something for stadium development instead?

Do you need to wait for an answer to that?

We don't know how this will pan out or whether Shels will even be involved, whether the FAI will take equity and what contribution, if any, the clubs would make it. You can't really judge whether it's right or wrong when we haven't been told any details yet.

If the FAI are paying off the debt then i hope they take a majority stake in Dalymount. The FAI/MFA ownership of Turners Cross has been very beneficial for Cork City in the long run. FAI could help make the pitch playable, improve facilities (mostly for away fans) and held League Cup final, U21 games there.

The Brandywell's planning application is online now.

And for all those budding architects, here's the detailed drawings.
Have you ever won the treble?

It should be rebranded as Delaneymont Park.

When is all this schedule to take place? The rumours of the Brandywell redevelopment seem to be going around for ages, hope it finally comes to fruition

Previously the announcements seemed to be about securing funding, reminding people that we were still there - wether or not a plan was attached.

This time some funding has been secured and the planning process has begun - there a figure in one of the documents probably should have been redacted, showing that getting this far is not an inconsiderable cost.

Others more au fait with the system would be better able to comment on the process. But my understanding is that's it out to public consultation, and a decision should now be expected before christmas (maybe even this christmas). After that it's anyone guess, but it's council and they have money, they'll want to break ground asap.

There is 3 phases to the plan. DCfC and DCC have only got the funding for phase 1 only. That consists of moving the greyhound track to the showgrounds making health and safety improvements to Southend Pk stand and to build a 947 seater stand with changing rooms bar and hospitality facilities plus a 3 or 4G pitch. Phase 2 still needs funding and approval ( that wont happen in my lifetime )

I think I asked before but is the MF the best located ground in the city? It doesn't matter where Thomand is as that will never suit the football club.
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), first Irish club to win points in a group stage in Europe (2016).

Not as close to train and bus station as Jackman Obviously but its only about a 10 minute walk from Jackman. About 15 minute walk from the middle of town id say.

Has work restarted on the markets field yet. Seems like there is an awful lot to do before it's ready for PD games

Hogan Park is a better option on more or less every level at the moment.

Let the LEDP have their crappy little schools rugby ground, they could be gettin lucky, with the way the wind is blowing they'll be able to rent it to Munster rugby for their cider shield games.

    Hogan Park? Seriously?

We put up with Jackman. The Market's Field can't be worse.

Things Hogan Park has this minute that the markets field doesn't:

    New dressing rooms.
    Space for three temporary stands.
    Floodlights.
    A Football pitch.
A complete lack of clueless quango fodder like the boys over the markets field "stadium".

This minute if you're leaving Thomond it's an absolute no contest. Hogan Park wins hands down.

I think that I've been to all of the grounds used by Limerick City, Limerick United, Limerick 37 and Limerick FC. (except Thomond)

Is Hogan Park the same as Rathbane?

Funnily enough, just before Delaney's comments about the Dalymount revamp, I'd been making plans to visit both Tolka and Dayler to do a photo shoot.
They're in worse nick than I expected, but great places to ponder about in.

Just finished sifting through my Tolka photos if anyone would like a look.
