    Irish Players of The Year

I know that Robbie Keane, Richard Dunne and Kevin Doyle have been named Player of The Year at their clubs. Doyle was also named the PFA Fans Player of the Championship and included in the PFA Championship Team of the Season.
I haven't heard who Blackburn Rovers voted for but I wouldn't be surprised if it was Stephen Reid. He's been fantastic this season. Shay Given has to be in with a shout at Newcastle Utd.
A lot of positives here but sadly Duff has had a terrible season and was shocking last night! No chance of him getting recognition for anything this season. He might have two league winners medals but his football has suffered dramatically.

Does anyone else have any Irish players to add to the list of award winners?

I'd be very surprised if Bellamy wasnt the Blackburn player of the year even if he is an evil sh*t

And this thread is going ..........

Has to be Kevin Doyle without a doubt with Robbie second and Given third.

Or for those who prefer the flavour of the week, Ireland's latest super-duper star Adam Rooney now being tracked by Real and ManU.

Derry man Darren Gibson won the "Jimmy Murphy young player of the year award' at Manu.

Was set for his League debut this weekend but with Utd failing to beat Boro, the game is more important therefore his League debut may have to wait.

He was also set to be involved in Roy Keane's testimonial, but he's had to have a hernia operation that will rule him out until the start of the new season.

Doherty got Norwich player of the year

Pleasently surprised to say the least. Haven't seen him play since they were relegated. Hope he builds on it. Another one who's deceptivley young, given he's been around a while.

Reid scoops goal of the season award

Blackburn & Ireland midfielder Steven Reid capped a brilliant season by scooping the Peter White Memorial Trophy for the goal of the season at the club's annual awards night last night.

The Ireland international, who has been a key figure in Rovers' charge for Europe, won the fans vote for his wonder strike against Wigan Athletic at the JJB Stadium on New Year's Eve.

Reid, Tugay and Craig Bellamy also shared the man of the match seasonal award.
