Actually it’s an interesting point, maybe Max could have illustrated the first post not with what might be seen as the trappings of middle-class but in the use of the description middle-class. I’ve a reasonable education, a comfortable office job, my own house etc but as I work for a living and haven't economic independence I'm working class.

Back to the topic on hand.

What is middle class & what is working class?

I work for a living so am i working class?

People aspire to better their lot in life otherwise we'd still be living in caves.

I think a lot of examples of SUVs 'n the like have nothing to do with middle class.

If watching the Premiership qualifies you as a West Brit then that covers 99% of the country.

sad but true. The rapturous aclaim that greated Scotland's defeat of england in my local was second only to Liverpool wiinning the Cl last year. And many of these cnuts call themselves natinalists

Norwegian League games are relatively well attended so no they don't qualify as East-Brits.

The beauty of someone in the Irish province of Leinster going to watch 2 English football teams playing in his local Leinster-based pub, bemoaning the fact that there were lots of other Leinster people in there watching a Leinster team play rugby and disturbing his viewing of English sport, and then questioning how how anyone in that Leinster-based pub could possibly identify with a Leinster team.....

I sware, you couldn't make stuff like that up if you tried.......!

    wow that is sarcasm!!!!
As I said before I dont feel any loyalty or sense of belonging to any place called leinster or any team representing them. and I would say most dublin people would feel the same. I dont see any differance in me wanting to watch two british teams and you supporting one.
