3,000 posts and none of them about Irish football. I do wonder how many other forums you have successfully infiltrated in a similar manner. Much respect.

Well I suppose it's short for Jonathan, as opposed to a different way of spelling John.

I know he tends to score in bursts but for a guy who has scored quite a bit in the championship, it is odd that Joe Mason doesn't have at least one cap.

Too many ahead of him. Paddy Madden I remember playing in the U.S. at the end of Trap's reign. Did he play more than once?

I wouldn't say Madden is ahead of him in the pecking order now.

    Great thread, enjoyed reading this.
To be honest how many off us would of given anything for just one cap?
Running out in front of our wonderful fans, and having the honour of wearing the green shirt.

    Priceless!

What about 2 cap wonders? That's almost more interesting in a way. The list includes Glenn Crowe, Clive Clark, and Alan Mahon. Clive Clark is a country & western singer now. Or at least his name suggests he may be.

The picture of lads in training in the article is good http://img2.thejournal.ie/inline/323...ersion=3238507 Think I recognise them all except possibly the nose between Breen and McGrath. I have an idea who it might be but can't be sure.
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.

What brand of cleats is the one with the green in the middle? Could they be now defunct Etonics? Those are collectors items these days.

I still reckon Mike Milligan could have been a contender!
