    From http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/16383027.stm today:

"Gary Ablett, the only player to win the FA Cup with Liverpool and Everton, has died at the age of 46 following a battle against non-Hodgkin's lymphoma."

Only 46. Didn't even know he had been ill.
Hello, hello? What's going on? What's all this shouting, we'll have no trouble here!

Hard to believe that Blockbusters finished in 1993.

    RIP Bob and Gary.

It's starting up again this year according to wiki. Will be on Challenge. Used to really enjoy Blockbusters back in the day. You just don't get decent quizzes any more these days.

    This is late I know.

But I only just found out tonight that Richard Burns died in 2005.
Truly shocked. In my defence I was in Australia at the time AND George Best died on the same day.

Sorry, I won't change the above as it wasn't meant as a slag, just that it was his own church.
Hospitalised with a heart attack, according to various sites, but I don't see any notice of his death.

Got a call from home saying he was dead but they were waiting to release it. I won't comment on the man as despite his horrid past he's human and has now to meet his maker.

The last BBC update (20:56) says he is being treated in hospital. Reading the coding in the reporting, it doesn't sound good: 'Baroness Paisley has released a statement confirming that her husband is being treated in the Ulster Hospital.
'She has requested that the family's privacy is respected at a difficult time.' (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-16911310)

If the rumours turn out to be untrue, it may be wisest not to leave the last few posts up. The haste seems a little unseemly anyway.

Noel Kelehan died today, I didn't know he was such a mover, I'd only thought of him as the Eurovision guy and conductor with the RTE orchestra.

Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.
