Starts and assists the winner in BW Linz's surprise 0-1 win at champions RB Salzburg.

After losing four of the first five, BW Linz now unbeaten in their last three, winning two of those, and up to ninth.

Scored his first of the season today, and his first senior goal not for a B team.

But they lost 2-1, and it's seven games without a win now.

Blau-Weiß Linz are in the relegation round in the Austrian Bundesliga, but should stay up. They're eight points ahead of bottom side Austria Lustenau with four games to go.
Noß has played 28 times in the league so far this season(18 starts, ten sub appearances), scoring twice, as well as three appearances in the Austrian Cup.
No harm in having a look at him in the two end of season friendlies

Something not adding up here for me. He is not a certain starter in one of the worst sides in the Austrian league but you fancy him for a call up?

For what it’s worth, there have only been 28 games in the Austrian league. So he’s played in all 31 games for them. Wouldn’t be too worried. He’s an attacking midfielder, they do tend to get rotated a bit.

In terms of guys who have yet to play for Ireland, I think he’s behind the likes of Connor Ronan and Jack Taylor - but I do like him and do think he has the ability to play for us…

The Austrian league is more or less on a par with the Scottish league. I don't know if Red Bull have made it as top-heavy as Celtic do in Scotland, but if not then the lower ranked teams might be equivalent to mid-table Scottish sides. I'd generally treat a player at that level as someone to keep an eye on rather than to call up, but he's just gotten going there and might be worth scouting. Someone with a good eye for a player might argue he's worth a punt. Someone without that skill might overrate him. We'll see.

I'd see him as still being miles off a call-up to be honest.

Though, having said that, with no permanent manager in for the June games I can't see players exactly falling over themselves to take a couple of weeks out of their summer to play nothing games under an interim manager. So we might actually need to go down the depth chart a fair bit to pull a squad together this time around. I'd be surprised if we had to dig down as far as where Noss would be in the order though.

I'd call up someone from the U17s before even considering Noss.

Linz confirmed as staying up after the weekend's fixtures.
Linz beat Wolfsberger 2-0, and bottom club Austria Lustenau drew with Tirol, leaving them ten points behind Linz with three games to go
