Dead grubber of a game starting with two 19s, burki and henry cameron in the 10. 3 more 19s came on to finish out the game.
Cant read too much into this game as it was played at 60% but there is one glaring fault in the squad......cameron. People are telling me hes on a 2 year contract which is worrying. Imo he should have been released long long before any other players.
To McDonnelds credit he has cleared out the squad since his arrival.. Kelly, Williams, turner, o'conor, mulhall, kenny, o'flynn, coughlan and o'connell have all departed while robson and crowes loans finished during this time also. More will go in the comming days.
But cameron is a worry. If he brings in more camerons we are trouble for next year.

I hardly think its that big a deal. We signed a player that hasn't worked out. It happens to every single club every year what's the panic?

Thats a lot of players he has to replace. Not sure where these 'replacement' players are coming from as the premier division player pool in Ireland is very small. Add to that list a left back and you begin to worry that the club are changing the squad too quickly. We could also be loosing Ogbene and Hery.

We will have to scour the lower divisons in Englsnd and hopefully uncover some decent players. For every Henry Cameron's hopefully we find a few Hery's. Some decent loan deals for the full season will be needed.

Who told you that. Because it's far from true.

Anyway, everyone knows we have the wonga to sign who we want. All we have to do is sell a few million tickets for The Asylum in Bruff and it's sit back and wait for the Champions League dosh to roll in.

Do we know that to be true though ? You have said other things on here and then backed off the statement later on.
Its not hard to be one of the highest paid around the place presently anyway with the clear out that went on and I think might not be fully finished either.

Hopefully we will see more proven / experienced types than dice rolls on potential as this guy was, yes. What's vital is we hold what we have already here as the rebuild is big enough again this coming off season, but at least its looking like this wont involve another manager coming in at least, if he shops well we could have that bit of stability in the Prem maybe, which would be welcome.

Two under-strength and uninterested teams. I said at the time that whoever scored first would win it, although I thought hey's only be one goal in the game.

Nothing game really, few lads got a game, nice to see Tommy Holland get a run out too.

Fielding a team of reserves and kids in a meaningless dead rubber was a scenario we'd have begged for 6 or 7 games ago.

I've heard this highest paid thing and the numbers being thrown around are absolute nonsense.

In fairness Cameron has come in and not worked out. McDonald hasn’t picked him so he it hasn’t really bothered me. We could have been in a situation where the manager was stubborn and kept playing a player he brought in but he didn’t do it.

Easy to say looking back at it too looking at where he had been and the level he played at before he came here you can definitely see the case for signing him.

Never backed off on any statement I've made, and won't be anytime soon neither.

Any truth in Barry McNamee been very close to signing for us?
that would be a unbelievable signing and a very good start in the quality of player that's needed in the coming months.

Rumours around in a few places about him coming to limerick to go to UL and will sign for us. If we got McNamee and re-signed Lee Jay, Shane and Hery is would be a great start to the off season.

Absolutely. *If* we got McNamee it would suddenly be less of an absolute disaster if we do lose one of the others too!

WIthout a doubt. If there wasn’t the potential link with him in UL I wouldn’t even cast it a second thought.
