    What's Cork's options now?
Tidy the place up and close off the stand, or use At Colman's maybe?

With that damage on one stand they'd have to assess the whole ground before it could be used. As long as there's no injuries that's the main thing.
I'd imagine they could use the rugby ground next door if it came to it.

I hope so. Genuinely don't know what our options are right now. Don't think there have been any injuries yet, not in Cork anyway that I'm aware of, though a car in Blarney was hit by a tree. I think someone died in Waterford.

The match itself is unimportant in the overall context of damage and loss of life from Storm Orphelia. Cork will win the title and there will be a big celebration evening in Turners Cross - it just may not be tomorrow night.

Providing that there is no further damage to any of the other stands I'd image Cork will continue to play at the Cross with that stand closed reducing the capacity. Better than playing and lifting the trophy in Cobh or somewhere
The Leinster Senior League needs a strong Bohemians

Yes sorry the initial pics were a bit deceptive. That's pretty bad but hopefully the rest of the ground will be ok.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

The roof will probably have to be removed before a game could be played. I can't see a game being played beside a collapsing structure.

Agreed. It surely can't be played. At least not at Turners Cross.

Storm Ophelia? Or Kenny Shiels hitting the roof over the postponement? Hmmm...

On a serious note, I'm in Dublin and there's nothing much to report yet - stay safe, everyone.
Hello, hello? What's going on? What's all this shouting, we'll have no trouble here!

The floodlights in Pairc Ui Chaoimh have not been tested fully yet so moving it to there is not an option anyway.

Floodlights would be the least of our problems.

Musgrave would probably be next on the list, bigger capacity but not so much bigger itd feel empty, just down the road, similar playing surface size to football and im sure munster rugby are a lot more likely to be accommodating than cork gaa

    Game on it seems.

    https://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/2017...o-be-postponed

Turner's Cross has suffered serious damage due to Hurricane Ophelia with the roof partially collapsing on one of the stands.Part of the St Anne's end roof has collapsed but the extent of the damage has not yet fully been established as the dangerously high winds continue.
RTÉ Sport understands that the rescheduled match between Cork City and Derry City, which was originally rescheduled from Monday to Tuesday evening, will go ahead as planned with the damaged section of the ground closed off to spectators.

Game is apparently going to go ahead. Seems a strange decision. Gonna be a lot of disappointed Cork fans who won't be able to attend.

Strange one but I suppose Nowlan Park in Kilkenny was reopened fairly quickly after the roof of its main stand was blown off in Storm Darwin in 2014.

Strange one. What if the amount of season tickets/match tickets sold outnumbers the revised safe capacity?

Very risky decision. I hope the people behind this decision know what they are doing.
