Limerick Supporters Q & A. Answer or Speculate wildly.

Far too often our anger and confusion gets lost in match threads and the like.

So for future here's our one stop shop for whinging and questions.

    I'll get the ball rolling:

    Do we have any money?

Have we broken Shane Duggan beyond repair?

    Who is the chairman?

    What does Willie Boland do?

    Is McDonald chancing his arm?

Players. Any sign of them anywhere?

Who will win the battle for hearts and minds? Mike Aherne or Alan O'Brien?

Why is the clubs media officer still employed?

    Discuss.

One question answered only 999 to go. This thread could turn out to be the never ending story.

Never had an issue with how the club uses social media myself. Far better presence than many clubs.

My question would be: From start to finish, who is involved in the signing of players, and where are most of the problems occurring there?

For what? Transfer window is closed, the squad is now pretty much the squad. We've all just got to ride this pony bareback until November, shut our eyes and hope everything works out. And Mick Aherne's bleeding heart isn't going to fix anything.

The UK market for out of contract players remains open till the end of August. And we signed a guy from Hungary a few days ago.

Too bloody right, time for everybody to knuckle down and get on with it.And since you brought up one of my favourite subjects 95fms SSC and radio,s most unprofessional waffler it must be said that heart rendering self indulgent incoherent tale of woe smacks of some desperate attempt to appease the wailing masses who actually indulge him.

    My tuppence worth:
    1. Duggie needs a break. He's supposed to be captain but he's miles off the pace. Gave away some ridiculously needless fouls last night.
    2. The thing I find baffling about the manager is that for somebody so experienced he's taking forever to settle on a formation. It's what one would expect of a newbie manager. He was good and vocal last night and you could see the players were responding to him but heads just completely dropped after we conceded.
    3. Agree re. knuckling down, we'remore than good enough to stay up. Personally I don't think we'll be relegated, Drogs are gone, Sligo probably too. 2 more wins and we should be ok.
    4. Alan's commentary all the way. Some of the 95fm stuff is cringeworthy.

Let's not go nuts here. Give me Aherne and O'Donnell's light hearted approach over the other two fools inventing rhyme and reason where there is none any day. For what it's worth, Aherne lashes the club as much as anyone and praises when it's due. Did I miss the press release about NO'C being the second coming? Surely if he was any good he'd still be a manager...

Running less than 12 hours and at least two questions asked and answered.

Leaving aside any issues I have with Aherne's attitude towards management and how that comes out in his commentary, I just generally find the 95FM lads rather bad commentators. The best way I can put it is that they commentate like they're on TV and everyone can see what's going on, as opposed to their actual format, which requires a bit more, well, commentary. In the last Pat's game he and the other guy were just talking about McDonald and tactics and suddenly Aherne just went "Oh, and Pats have scored" like they hadn't been paying attention at all.

Isn't Willie Boland running the Academy? Did that change? He should be getting the coaching badges too.

I think that's why Aherne and O'Donnell work well, it's like going to the game with your mates, not with the bloody taxman.

Question: Why is the Limerick FC training ground and club offices in Bruff and how much is this venture costing the club? I realise Pat O'Sullivan is from south Limerick but in my opinion the club should be based and trained in Limerick City. The club should be for the wider region which includes Clare and Tipperary and this obsession with marketing us a a Limerick county club should be got rid of starting with the location of the club offices. Rant over.
