I didn't in my life ever believe I'd come across someone accused of being obsessed with Bray Wanderers.

That's because Sligo played a team who are a much higher level than Bray did.

It's only the second weekend after the end of the league. It would have been interesting to see what media coverage a LoI club would have gotten had they gone on a bit of a cup run.

Not financially viable though, most players contracts at sligo and bray are finished now so theyd have to extend them which would probably cost more than the competition would bring in.

I was wondering alright what role contracts like that might have in such a scenario.

The promotion-relegation play-offs might be played for a week or two depending on what they come up with. Contracts would have to be extended there as well.

Next round after this is in January so would have been a nightmare for Irish clubs if they had progressed.

That is a bit mad. You wonder if there's a proviso in there for a postponement if it came to it. You're talking what - two wins for it to happen?

The Non-Scottish clubs need(ed) to win four ties to make the final. I quite fancy a trip to Dumbarton, Inverness or Oswestry for the semi. Draw's tomorrow.

Your wish is their command ! A trip to sunny Inverness in February awaits.

Flybe have a scheduled service from Belfast Harbour to Inverness every day except Saturday. That's a pain.

    Scottish Challenge Cup final possibility:
TNS (Wales) v Crusaders (Irish League)

Tallaght Stadium might be the suitable venue for that for a someway reasonable crowd.
