Fixtures: Weekend Beginning May 19, 2017

All 19.45 k/o, unless stated otherwise...

Premier Division (all Fri May 19)

    Bray Wanderers vs. Bohemians
    Cork City vs. Drogheda United
    Derry City vs. Shamrock Rovers
    Galway United vs. Finn Harps
St Patrick's Athletic vs. Sligo Rovers
    Limerick FC vs. Dundalk

    First Division (Fri May 19)

    UCD vs. Cobh Ramblers
    Waterford FC vs. Longford Town
    Wexford FC vs. Shelbourne (20.00)

    Sat May 20

    Cabinteely vs. Athlone Town (19.00)

    Have at it, lads.

You can also find live audio analysis of Dundalk's trip to newly-managered Limerick, featuring former LOI manager Noel O'Connor, at www.mixlr.com/limerick-soccer-live. Willie John Boland will take charge of the Shannonsiders for the final, final time!

Elsewhere, Galway/Harps looks an important one at the foot of the Premier table, as does this evening's clash in Inchicore.

Looking forward to the Galway/Harps game. Really crucial game for Galway as more wins are needed. Hope there is an improvement in the home support(not optimistic on this) in what in ways is more of derby game due to the close connections between the 2 counties, than the one against Sligo.
    Another draw?

Aaron McEneff secures the three points for Derry against Rovers with a penalty in stoppage time. 3-1.

Starting to look ominous for Harps. We can try and take whatever positives are possible, but we're relegating ourselves with stupid mistakes and not taking chances.

Terrible shame. Really need to go for 3 in next match.

Really enjoyable game in Inchicore. Could easily have been 4-4

Great to note that Ollie Horgan was sent to the stands for the second time in three games tonight.

15 wouldn't have flattered us. At 5 we took off Buckley and played with 10 for 20 minutes and then proceeded to miss 5 absolute sitters. Campion should retire his was so bad.

That lad couldn't score in a brothel. Had to laugh really those chances he missed just defied belief.

Mad stuff at the bottom, when Harps were 1-0 up they had moved temporarily up to 8th from the bottom, then back to the bottom at full time.

Good win by Dundalk by all accounts, heard 2nd and 3rd goals were quality, final one pleasing to see Gannon on the score sheet after almost 2 month lay off. We move up to 2nd and Cork increase their lead!

Still, I`m looking forward to their visit on Friday week, hopefully a nice start to the BH weekend.

Big win, but this relegation battle has a long way to go yet. Vinny Faherty coming on made a big difference, even before his goal. I think fitness may have made a difference towards the end as Harps overall looked to have better technical players than Galway. Some of the passing from the home side tonight was really poor, and the small size of the squad could really start to hurt us soon. The 2 Derry lads; McCourt and Molloy having to go off injured was a key factor as well. Ref was poor. Great peno from Murray.

Ruined the game alright but not sure how you think Limerick were on top, game hadn't settled and neither team had done much.

2nd was good, you cut us open down the right, perfect cross, powerful naer post header.

3rd was a nice move and pass behind the defence, but we were just wrecked at that stage, stretched and dragged all over the place.
