Scrappy goal after a tasty Ogbene cross. Deserved point overall. Rovers are septic, we just couldn't penetrate. Rovers keeper is unbelievably bad, punched at least 3 easy catches away.

Ogbene got in behind the right full back and came in towards goal. Hit a low cross across the box (if untouched, would have gone wide around the edge of the area). O'Flynn and the first defender went for it at the near post but neither got a touch (maybe O'Flynn left it) and it continued through. Tosi reacted faster than his marker to slide in and finish high to the net at the far post from about 5 or 6 yards out.

Link to video of goal here: https://mobile.twitter.com/OSC_Limer...368896/video/1

It only shows the moment it was scored but you can see where Ogbene passed from, and the ball has just gone by O'Flynn and his marker.

Can't say for certain but last nights result was not what we would have got under Russell. Held our nerve, never gave up and struck a late equaliser. If home results can be improved a top 5 finish is not beyond this team. That said new recruits are essential to maintain this form.

89 minutes of pure and utter frustration followed by moments of pure joy. Nothing like a 90th minute goal to get a result to make you forget all about tactics and poor performances and just enjoy the moment.
Although it was a late late leveler we definitely deserved the point we were much better 2nd half and credit to the players for not letting the heads drop and not accepting they were beaten.

Tosi is like the girlfirend/boyfriend you just can't stay mad at does absolutely nothing and is infuriating for periods of or whole game but then comes up with the goods. For all the nothing we get at times from him in games he still has 6 goals and 2 or 3 assists so far.

True but at the same time I think that Ogbene didn't offer him much to work with last night. He might be frustrating, but Tosi was frustrated himself, shouting at the wingers (Ogbene especially) to just get it into the box quickly but Ogbene always took too much out of it. We often fail to get crosses into the box. Robson has a habit of cutting back onto his right foot for no reason I can see when he'd be better off just whipping in a cross. A couple of freekicks that Williams hit tamely at the keeper too.

Agreed on all of that I was pulling my hair out at how many times we were down the sides and Ogebene either just stopped or came back or tried to beat a man again when he should have just been swinging it in but I think both wingers and both fullbacks were guilty of it. The one thing that can't be denied with Tosi is he is top notch at losing his man at just the right time when a good ball comes in but that is killed when the ball doesn't come when it should. That and as you pointed out getting into crossing positions and for some reason coming inside when it isn't the best option. Fair play to Ogbene too though for continuing to plug away and ended up playing a huge part in the goal.

Ogbene is still a kid learning how to play. Wingers by definition are frustrating and inconsistent at the best of times. So are teenagers. He's both (I think hes still a teenager anyway). Hes undeniably quality but its going to take him a while before hes performing every week.
