So...that's where the FAI are getting their 40% increase figure from.

    Dublin bias again.

Decent increase from Rovers but it's just returning to the levels of 2 years ago.
I'd expect to see a decrease next year. I'd be surprised if we can sustain our crowds and there will be more midweek games which wont help

I'd say ours will hold up next year - we'll be keeping the two home games against Bohs and adding an extra one against Dundalk. We'd a lot of low attendances that dragged it down but if we're doing better than this year you'd expect those to be fewer.

How come you get Bohs at home twice two seasons in a row?

Rovers pushing for the title along with Dundalk, Cork and a resurgent Waterford should keep the momentum going in a positive direction crowd wise next season.

Derry's return to a refurbished Brandywell should be another positive.

The Derry city board are already pushing season tickets for the new Brandywell for next season more than I ever remember them doing.

The new Mark Farren stand will also have a bar so that should help attendances.

The tickets aren't actually on sale yet, TBF.
As for the bar, only special ST holders are allowed in, so no incentive for the majority of people, especially occasional fans.

If Neale Fenn was in charge the whole season our average crowds would have being higher as it noticeable picked up when he took over especially the Cork City and Sligo Rovers games.. I think there is a buzz back again with us and I strongly expect our crowds to get much better next season.
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

Longfords crowds didn't really pick up at all at any stage of the season. A league season high of 480 was the 7-1 win in a local derby against Athlone. Your next highest league attendance was back on 15th April against Shels.

Sligo and Cork would have naturally brought more people through the gates regardless of who was manager.

Good comprehensive piece, cant wait for our 1st 2 games away to Bohs and home to Dundalk, We will probably only get 8 or 9 hundred tickets when we could do with twice that it being the 1st game.

Wouldn't that game sell out even if away ticket allocation doesnt meet demand. Its a real shame that the area behind the home dugout cant be opened to meet demand.
